This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz. There is a small town in Kansas that has an OZtoberfest every year but this year it was a lot bigger to mark this wonderful anniversary! Lizzie and David got to meet the cast of the stage production being shown in town...(and David slept most the time in his Mei Tai!)
For the moment he was awake he played at the park with his sister and tasted his first chicken strip! Yumm!!
Isn't fair food the best? Deep fried perfection! Lizzie found a fry in the shape of a rainbow - she was so excited!
Jump! Jump! Laugh! Lizzie had a fun time being so silly at the inflatable toys! $5 a kid got you all the play time you could ask for on 3 huge toys!
I wasn't kidding - who wouldn't have fun here? WOW!!
My reluctant model. Lizzie doesn't smile on demand, but at least she posed for me! Sweet Dorothy!
She was looking forward to riding the train the whole weekend! She was waving to people and just loving her too short of a train ride
Did I mention she doesn't smile and pose for photos? At least I got somewhat of a smile with the train!
Here is the full view of the train. Not large, but just the right size for my Lizzie Lou!
Ahhhh!! Someone get some water and melt her!
It was so much fun! I am so in love with Kansas. Happy Birthday Dorothy!

Yay Kansas! :o)
I've been to Oktoberfest when I went to school at Fort Hays and Neewollah, but after 31 years in Kansas, I've never heard of OZtoberfest! This surprises me because I have a history degree and Kansas History has always been my fave!! Looks like a fun day trip in the future!
Oh! I love the Wizard of Oz. Looks like you all had a great time!
