When I was little I vowed never to stop dreaming, and I never have! Dreams give me inspiration. They are my fuel and create a passion for what I do. For me, a dream can change, like gelatin, molding to its surroundings yet retaining its unique properties.
What are my Jell-O dreams?
To inspire and influence others.
I love being in front. I soak up attention like dry skin soaks up moisturizer! Just take a peek at my Monday Mingles and you will see what I mean. But as much as I love being watched and cheered on, it is more important to me that others see Christ in me. I want to reach the world with the Gospel. I want to encourage other ladies in their personal walk with Christ. I have always wanted that! One time I dreamed of being a motivational speaker like Beth Moore, but now I realize I can influence from my own little blog. I wonder how I will influence others in the future?
To make money.
All my life I wanted to be able to take care of myself without relying on others. That is a reason I graduated college. Josh takes amazing care of us and I don't have to worry about finding a job, but I still want to help out. My dream has shifted to finding success with Discovery Toys and using my blog to bring in more money. I also work part time at Angel 95 - our local Christian radio station. It doesn't matter the amount I make, what I really care about is that I am contributing in ways that don't take away from my family. Someday I dream of being super profitable either by publishing a book or maybe growing this blog. Who knows...
To travel and have fun.
This one is a bit harder currently, but I am still dreaming it! Back B.K. (Before Kids) I traveled with Josh to Hawaii and for our honeymoon we went to Italy. Those were amazing moments in my life. I want to someday take Lizzie and David to Disney World. We'll do it when they are old enough to remember it - I am not paying a ton of money and someday they go "we went there?" I also want to experience this amazing country. I want to see Boston in the fall. I want to see the Atlantic ocean and stroll the streets of historic Atlanta. So much to see!
