I have a short story to introduce my Aloha Friday question:
I stared at the tub of dough, soon to explode in my hand without any prediction. I placed it in the sink and gingerly tore off the paper casing, bracing myself for the sudden "pop!" It never came...I tore the paper so slowly, killing myself with the suspense. I actually got the paper totally off the tube and it did not open.
Am I the only one scared of the exploding packaging these come in?
If Josh was here I would have asked him to open it - and taken every tease he had in his system, thinking it worth the taunts to escape the creepy cylinder.

Those rolls do make me jump every time I open them. I am always afraid of it exploding everywhere. LOL
I love how those rolls pop! My silly irrational fear is of snakes. We live up in the rocky mountains and therefore have no poisonous snakes, but i still freak out when I see one.
I don't have that fear, but I absolutely cannot put my hand into the garbage disposal. If a fork falls into it, it stays there until my husband gets home because I have a feat that it will just turn on...I know I am a weirdo!
I'm not a fan of bridges. I hate being on bridges. I actually don't like being under them either LOL
Oh yes, falling out of the sky. like I would do that,lol.
I can totally understand that fear of the exploding can. I never used to like Jack in the boxes either.
As for the rest of my fears - they are all truly worthy of the amount of fear they inspire! Just kidding - but they are things like spiders *shudder*, scorpions, snakes, centipedes - you get the idea.
I love the pop from those kind of things.
I hate balloons though. Balloons and clowns freak me out!
OMG!!! I thought I was the only one! I HATE those tubes! I used to make my mom open them for me, but now I (thankfully) have a son who LOVES the way the tubes pop, so he gets to do it now! :)
i don't think my fears are silly, but others think i am a bit silly for taking them so seriously. i fear germs and fire. i don't have candles and i turn everything off. i don't like public restrooms and i try to open all doors with my rear end or elbows. aloha and take care.

That is funny! I don't know? I am sure I have a dozen silly things but nothing is coming to me at this very moment.
My fear is of spiders! Some may call it silly----yet I don't!!! LOL!

I have the same fear. In fact I wrote a blog post about it just a week or two ago! :)
Even though I know I am bigger than them, I have an irrational fear of bugs lately.

Moths. I have nightmares about them.
Fear that someone will break into my house. I'm very paranoid about it and plan how to escape with my kids. Is that silly?
LOL! I do the same exact thing! I hate that pop! I am even afraid of rubber bands and balloons for that very reason!
My whole life is a silly fear most of the time! LMAO!
I don't like those cans of rolls either!
My silly fear is that I will be caught in a car underwater -- since I live in a landlocked area it is pretty unlikely. I mean we have the Mississippi and Missouri rivers have still it's not likely to happen, right?! :-)

I have a fear of bugs. Cockroaches totally creep me out.

That is so hilarious! I'm the same way when opening those things. BUT WHY? LOL It's not like they are going pop out of there and poke an eye out or knock our head off! Too funny!
Those things are scary!!! lol I stapled through my finger once...so I am now scared of staplers!!
LOL! My BIL is afraid of those containers, too. I don't like putting out roach traps. I hate roaches with a passion and just the thought that these contraptions are made for them creeps me out.
I have a few fears. When I change lanes on the highway I'm afraid someone is going to hit me! I drive in the right lane a lot so I don't have to change lanes very much.

i know exactly what you're talking about with those dough tubes. why don't they just pop when they're supposed to?
the only fear i have is of heights. i didn't have it as a kid and don't know when it started, but it's there - loud and clear.
